For Immediate Release:
Denver, CO – Jan. 24, 2012 – Lifespan announced today that it is one of the first companies to receive NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) certification for onsite data sanitization. This certification is in addition to the previous NAID certifications Lifespan has held since 2008.
Lifespan has become a leader in secure data sanitization and destruction for IT Asset Retirement. Lifespan was able to add this certification just as it was being launched by NAID because Lifespan had already developed a formal process to securely sanitize client hard drives and storage devices onsite. Lifespan clients have been requesting this service, and now they have the validation and assurance that comes with NAID certification.
“Lifespan is proud to be one of the first to have this certification. Our clients want to have options for data sanitization services, and the NAID AAA Certification provides them with the confidence that Lifespan is following industry best practices set by the only independently audited standard in the industry,” said Dag Adamson, Lifespan President.
According to NAID CEO Bob Johnson, “It is not surprising that Lifespan would be among the first to achieve this landmark certification. They seem to be at the forefront of all initiatives that advance the ITAD and electronics recycling industries.”
On what the achievement means to Lifespan’s clients, Johnson added, “As a result of their NAID certification, customers using the firm’s data destruction services are in compliance with the vendor selection and audit requirements of all major data protection regulations.”
